Some scenes from the Shop

I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the wonderful new things that have been coming into the shop lately. Some things like this ole egg crate are hard to part with because they are so unique~
We have plenty of birdnests ~

We also have some of Mr. OTM's ( Olde Tyme Marketplace)
popular window houses!

I never get tired of the worn faces of old scales. These make such great display pieces for any room in the house.

Birds! We have lots of different styles and sizes.
We'd love to see you! Spring has sprung and we would be glad to help you add some fresh touches to your decor.
For more pictures, just hope on over to my other blog
OLDE TYME MARKETPLACE and take a peek!

Booth Pics at THE DEPOT at GIBSON MILL

I recently rented booth space at a new HUGE antique mall called THE DEPOT at GIBSON MILL! It is located in Concord NC and WOW...what a place! So many great dealers and the stuff you'll find is amazing! I snapped a few pics to give you an idea of what my booth turned out to be.......I didn't really have a plan~ it just sort of came together.............

all in different shades of chippy white and rust.............
I loved the big huge windows and white painted brick walls...........

with such a great background...the inspriation came easy..........!
If you'd like to see more pics, hop on over to my other blog OLDE TYME MARKETPLACE! You'll also get to see pics of my booth in the Sleepy Poet as well.
Hope you enjoy~ have a great day!

GREEN INSPIRATION!

One of my New Years resolutions last year was to really focus on using my own bags when I went shopping! Happy to say that it does take a little while to form the habit but I did it! I have to admit that using these cute bags is hardly a chore! It is a win win any way you look at it! I ordered these bags (above ) this past year from Ballard Designs. They are nice and big and BURLAP!
I am loving the shape of this one..............

Juicy even got on the bandwagon...thank goodness...I LOVE this one!

How cute is this? Vintage crossstitch design....again Love it!

I have this bag too~ but mine says FRIENDS DON'T LET FRINEDS TRASH THE EARTH!
I couldn't agree more. I encourage you to start using your own bags. You will be so surprised at the amount of plastic bags you will avoid and in return, save trees and more! Give it a try!

Some Winter decorating outside......

It seems hard to believe that it's time to get the gardens ready for winter! I worked all afternoon outside getting things cleaned up, pots put away, tools stored and so on. My reward was creating some simple arragements on our back deck that can be enjoyed all season long. The big ole pinecones make it perfect!

In the summer, this picket fence planter held big beautiful white geraniums!

One of my favorite things on the deck is this old post lantern top. I got it at a thrift shop a few years ago and keep a candle in it all year round. A great look for 4.99! The old iron gate was an auction find while I still lived in Ohio...price? $1.00!

I'll count on my little rusty garden angel to watch over everything out there this winter. Come spring she'll be ready to hover over a nice big planter filled with bacopa! Til then, she looks happy to me!
