My Apothecary FIND!

A few months ago my friend Shellee asked me to out junkin with her

and I told her I had to think about it.

HA! Did you just believe that?

C'mon...it took me like ..001 seconds to say

Are you drivin or me?

Turns out she drove. It would work out that way because I proceeded to find this:An old chippy white apothecary!

She saw it first and told me about it.

Good grief I passed out right there on an old barca-lounger and had to be revived with moth balls!
Almost.

I did get all tingly though and there was another lady trying to make up her mind about it then she asks MY opinion! I told her I thought it was kinda big.

I didn't lie...it is kinda big.

Big and beautiful and chippy and the list goes on.

Apparently that was a negative for her cuz she passed and I think I literally swooped in and paid for it in even less time than it took for me to tell Shellee I was comin along!

Sooo...cuz she drove, Mr. OTM and I had to go back and pick it up.

No problemo~ it was totally worth financing a tank of gas to get back there!!

Right now it's at the shop with a big NFS sticker on it. It's going to be in my craft/computer/office/spare bedroom soon!

OATMEAL IN THE BEDROOM?

I recently gave our guest room a very over due make-over. You can go on over to my other blog Olde Tyme Marketplace to see the results.

The tweeking however still contines, which to me is the funnest part!

This morning I was bloggin and I looked over to my stack of feedsacks (yes they share a room) and I saw this HUGE Quaker Oats one that made me think hmmmmmmm....

that bed really does need some more pillows ......soooooo before I went to work today I put this baby together and love how it turned out!

It took like 10 minutes. You gotta love easy schmeasy projects like this!So this is how I ended up with oatmeal in the bedroom!

I really like the texture element it gives the room as well as a bold graphic that still has a subtle way about it if you know what I mean. Am I making any sense here? At all? Hello?

I am happy! Plus there is one less thing in my craft/computer/spare/storage room.
Which happens to be next on the list for a make-over of it's own.

This old antique french porcelain hotel room number is beyond words with it's faded blue lettering ...as if that weren't enough it is front and center on............................

THIS FANTASTIC OLD CHIPPY WHITE CUPBOARD!!!! I looooooove this piece and am still debating whether it should come back home with me. It looks great sitting on a table top OR hanging....again..can't pick which way I like it better. The inside is divided into 4 cubby sections.......just a wonderful little cupboard that shows some age but in all the right ways!......$74.95
