When giving Thanks this year I find myself being grateful about so many things and praying that each of you have as much if not more to be thankful for.
May Your Thanksgiving be blessed.

Rest..........

These pictures inspire me every tim I look at them.
I would love to grab a blanket from the stack and curl up on that old
chippy iron bed and take a snooze in the sunshine.
This time they inspired me to think about actually putting an old bed
outside of the shop for our CandleLight Night part of our Christmas Open House.
If rain isn't in the forcast I think this inspiration will become a reality!
Stay Tuned!

Front porch inspiration!

It's time to take away the geraniums that have decked out the porch all summer long and gear up FALL!! YIPPEE!! I love hauling out all the decorations, getting mums, loads of white pumpkins and you name it! This photo from Country Living got my juices flowing this morning~ I would love those twig chairs!
As I was going though all my stuff I was wondering.......when you all decorate for this time of year, do you decorate for Halloween or for Fall or Both?

OATMEAL IN THE BEDROOM?

I recently gave our guest room a very over due make-over. You can go on over to my other blog Olde Tyme Marketplace to see the results.
The tweeking however still contines, which to me is the funnest part!
This morning I was bloggin and I looked over to my stack of feedsacks (yes they share a room) and I saw this HUGE Quaker Oats one that made me think hmmmmmmm....
that bed really does need some more pillows ......soooooo before I went to work today I put this baby together and love how it turned out!
It took like 10 minutes. You gotta love easy schmeasy projects like this!So this is how I ended up with oatmeal in the bedroom!

I really like the texture element it gives the room as well as a bold graphic that still has a subtle way about it if you know what I mean. Am I making any sense here? At all? Hello?

I am happy! Plus there is one less thing in my craft/computer/spare/storage room.
Which happens to be next on the list for a make-over of it's own.

DECORATING IN A FLASH!

Aren't these the neatest? I wish I would have come up with this idea because that would have meant one very important thing.......I would have the COOLEST flash cards I have ever seen! Seriously, I have never run across these type ~ EVER! I love them, How bout you? Ever see these at flea markets ? Garage Sales? Auctions? Zip~ Zero~ Nada for me.
Anyway, I love how great these look in a grouping and how easy it is to pull off.
You could take any flash card really and frame it out like this in a shadowbox style and have a great look. Group like words together, colors, even numbers.
They would look great in any roon of the house and depending on how much you paid for the cards~ this could be a cheap-o decorating success!
Let me know if you try it!

These photos are of my dad's tool shed up in the vineyard. When I was a little girl I used to Love to pretend that this was my store! Who knew!
I always loved how it smelled of fertilizer.
Now I love the weathered appearance it has. All chippy and faded.

Peely paint...

My favorite Hoosier ever!

I recently came across this old Hoosier style cupboard at a flea market last month.
I immediatly fell in love with the crackly old gray/white finish......She has all her own original stuff...metal bread drawer, flour bin and sifter, roll top works, old hardware, porcelain top, metal tray inside .....but my MOST favorite part of all.......
has got to be this........flour still on the sifer knob. The stories this cupboard could tell!

How many times has this door been opened and closed to make something yummy?
She now sits in my shop for sale~flour-y knob and all!
Please go take a peek at other wonderful white goodies at Faded Charm!
